I was in Paris a few weeks ago and got to do one of my favorite things, flea market shopping! The Paris markets are so full of atmosphere and inspiration, not always a place to find bargains but some of my favorite finds come from here.

While in Paris I was lucky enough to have a tour of the Maison @schiaparelli with the incredible @afireinparis Anya gives the most amazing custom tours of Paris, her knowledge is as vast as she is glamorous! We were introduced by a mutual favorite client.
The Maison was so inspiring, full of incredible design and craftsmanship and very heavy on the surreal, which I love!
What are your favorite pieces?

Scenes from my bathroom and downstairs WC in my UK cottage, it’s eclectic to say the least! The collection of Penguin paperback books means I always have something to read in the bath, and that Victorian roll top is very comfortable for long soaks! I tried to use a lot of reclaimed and collected elements, what are your favorites?

My UK holiday may be over, but memories of my snug cottage bedroom linger. The gigantic Chinese ancestral painting hanging behind the bed is hard to miss, it's so big I had to fold about 1/4 over at the top!

Cozy Sundays in my cottage in Wiltshire UK are the best, so this post today is bittersweet as I’m heading home to NYC, it’s been a lovely trip, Happy New Year!!

Just spent the most wonderful Christmas and New Year in my cozy cottage in the heart of Wiltshire, UK. It was so good to spend some down time with so many special people before heading back to NYC and a busy, but exciting January.

The Interior Design Best of Year Awards, presented by @interiordesignmag , celebrates the most innovative work from around the world, spotlighting standout projects, products, and the creative minds shaping what’s happening now and next in design. Guess who just won?!?!?! We did!! @jonathanadler design studio won Best Resort for @parkerpalmsprings this is a project I have worked on for a large part of my career and continue to work on new projects with them so I’m very proud of this!

The powder room is dark and glamorous with cork walls and vintage Kalmar light fixtures and a Warhol for a pop of color!
The guest bathroom is light and airy with cream zellige tile and vintage rattan elements.

In this house I love to use big tropical leaves rather than a lot of flowers, it seems to fit the vibe! What do you think?

For my kitchen on Shelter Island, I wanted simple organic materials that reflected the beachy exterior. I went with cerused oak cabinets and a pebbled terrazzo floor. The minute I designed the shelving unit, it became the perfect excuse to start another collection. I couldn’t help myself but to fill it with the colourful 60s pottery of the French ceramicist, Robert Picault.

What would you want to cook in my kitchen if you had the opportunity?
